Corks & Cases was opened in July 2006 by Angela and Philip Newton having identifed that Masham and the surroundng villages needed somewhere local to buy a decent bottle of wine.
The aim since then has always been to offer wines that are a little bit different along with good old fashioned service and advice.
The business changed hands in November 2011 and is now owned by Derek Harle and is run with his partner Carol, along with Derek's brother Stuart. We aim to deliver the same ethos as Angela and Philip, to deliver independent, innovative quality wines at best price.....
Although we are not masters of wine, we have learnt a fair bit on our travels around the globe and are passionate about the wine we sell. We hope that if you visit our shop you will experience a little something of the "Cellar Door", as we aways have several wines available to try on tasting.
We are happy to recommend wines to suit your palate or to match with food. Indeed many people have specific hard to find wines which we endeavour to source for them. If you have a favourite wine that you can't find anywhere, give us the details and we will do our utmost to find it for you!
